We join a gym and train regularly in order to build muscle in our bodies.
Ambition was frowned upon at school and we accepted a life of mediocrity to fit in with our friends and colleagues.
In order to overcome the life-long self limiting beliefs expected from us, the brain needs daily reinforcement of the positive principles. Make a commitment to yourself, make time every day to embrace the principles of prosperity and abundance, study successful business people for inspiration, stop socialising with people who make fun of your dedication. Persistence leads to success and one year in the future you will look back on your old self and wonder how you could have been in any way satisfied with that existence.
The majority of us come from families who were middle class home owners who worked every day from 9 till 5, worked overtime to pay for extras and were totally dependent on the job and the company who employed them.
We were brought up in a world filled with self limiting ideas. Careers officers who crushed ambition in order to fill the quotas needed for factory workers. It took rebellion to escape the conveyor belt and explore other ideas. Failure in one business lead to other ideas, but the mindset we grew up with didn’t include the possibility of escaping poverty to become rich.
I studied the BreakthroughU program for a year before I realised that I was still sabotaging my development because I couldn’t envision myself beyond the level of mediocrity. I was satisfied by a good income, but I never took the next step in order go from comfortable to rich.
