Sam Quek is a retired English professional field hockey player, who represented Great Britain at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Sam started playing hockey when she was at school, part of the team that won the Girls Under 18s Four Nations Invitational Tournament and the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. Whilst studying at university, Sam earned her first cap for England, playing against Argentina in 2007. Despite not being selected to represent England at the 2012 Olympic Games, Sam played for England at the 2013 Women’s EuroHockey Nations Championships and the 2014 Women’s Hockey World Cup.
